Richard Leonard

Chartered Financial Planner

“The biggest part of my role as a financial adviser is sitting down with clients to understand their needs and financial goals and then helping them to put plans in place to meet those goals. It is particularly rewarding when people find they are able to achieve something they had not thought possible. This can be different for every client, be it retiring early, securing the funding they need for their business or protecting their wealth for future generations.”

Key role at Kirk Newsholme Financial Planning:

A highly qualified Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, Richard provides investment advice and strategic financial planning solutions to individuals and families (private clients), businesses and the trustees of private trusts to help them to build, manage and protect their wealth.

Specialist areas of expertise:

Although Richard covers a broad range of financial planning areas, he is particularly skilled in the areas of corporate benefit and retirement planning. Since the introduction of changes to pension freedom legislation in 2015 a significant part of his time is spent helping clients to make the most of the new flexibility in retirement, working with them to develop long-term financial plans.
